The 450-year-old stone house, a charming property in a relaxing historical setting, has a capacity of 2 to 10 people.
Independent apartments of good standing, in an old farmhouse with heated swimming pool and garden - orchard- meadows of 30,000 m2.
Located in 8 hectares of rolling meadows at the edge of the medieval village of Chalabre and in the heart of the Cathar country.
A country setting overlooking the valley of the Hers, but at a distance accessible for all types of shops and restaurants (700 meters).
The equipped house, puts forward the calm of the campaign and its harmony. Atmosphere simple, relaxed and warm, with a soothing decoration brings you the well being necessary for the stay.

[5 étoiles] Property consists of a number of attractive flats catering for between 6 and 2 people. We booked 3 of them for an extended group. Lovely place, close enough to Chalabre village for teenagers to be independent in the evening, Close to the (lake) beach, Voie Vert cycle route and the other attractions of the Cathar region. It is possible to borrow bikes. Benoit is extremely helpful with good English, advising on an itinerary and even phoning to book activities for us. The swimming pool is great, and we made good use of the various outdoor seating areas for BBQs, etc...

Authentique Aude, charming Chalabre. Left on Sep 23, 2016 for a stay in Jul 2016
This is a very large old farmhouse with three apartments on different levels. Comfortable spacious rooms, clean and well equipped without being too extravagant. A beautiful setting close to an unspoilt community village. A good sized heated pool and lots of opportunities for walking and cycling. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Great for families.

We have had a great week ! Lucky enough to watch a criterium race in Quillan on the sunday - a very pretty place. Mirepoix market is a must. Chateau de Puilaurens is another good place to visit, the views across the mountains are spectacular and walk to the top is worth it. We've also managed a trip to Trebes, sitting alongside the canal du Midi for a lovely lunch. The whole area is very different to our usual French holiday destinations - it's so green !! The roads are so great for cycling and the morning runs to the boulangerie left us feching less guilty about eating the delicious breads and croissants. We would recommend eating out at the Moulin de l'Evêque (near Rivel) - great food and good value. The girls have loved the pool and the amount of space this gite has (as have we). thanks, Sarah - Colchester, UK.

What a wonderful holiday! We have stayed in many gîtes, but never in one like Le Bourdil! Indeed, some of the best days have simply been spent in the garden, enjoying the beautiful views, the varied wildlife, & what must be the cleanest swimming pool in France. When we managed to tear ourselves away from the pool, we had a great time exploring Aude and Ariege. Well, we're coming to the end of a fortnight of wonderful weather here - up to 30°C for those of you who're wondering about the Spring weather. Almost unadulterated sunshine! We've loved the beautiful countryside, empty roads & trips to Montsegur, Mirepoix, Foix, Roquefixade & Esperaza, & we really hope to return sometime. Our week at Bourdil went by too quickly - too many places to visit in too short a time. Our gite at Bourdil was excellent, so well-equipped and comfortable. We could not have wanted anything more from the gite, ever-inviting pool, bbq and grounds and amazing information file. We can appreciate how hard.  UK
